Genderblind is the compelling story of a young christian woman, Sincere, who begins to compromise her ideals in an attempt to further her artistic endeavors as a dance choreographer, and along the way she meets Grace, a lesbian who challenges her traditional beliefs about love. Backed by an original soundtrack of indie pop, R&B, classical music and old school gospel,Genderblind is a riveting and poignant portrayal of a young black woman’s journey through love, despair and the challenge faced by black gay Christians to be true to themselves, their religion, and community.

A talented ensemble cast of Chicago actors Robyn Daniels, Danielle Jones, Martin Rowse, Paula Gee brings to life this story of spiritual awakenings, love, hardship and personal redemption.

More than 700 people attended Genderblind’s Chicago Red Carpet event at the renowned Portage Park Theater. Affinity, Pow Wow, Chicago Michfest, Chi-town Kings, and many other community organizations were out in force to get the first peak at the long-awaited screening of Genderblind.

Tickets for the Atlanta Red Carpet event are $20 in advance, and $30 at the door.
